Community Campus '87 Supported Housing!

  • Community Campus '87 is the name of a local organisation which provides housing, support, training and personal development opportunities for young people.
  • Supported Housing is provided in Middlesbrough, Stockton or Thornaby and is for young people aged 16-25, who are homeless, in need of housing and support.
  • Support is provided by a team of Tenant Support Workers who are experienced, good listeners, motivated and committed.
  • We are based in Middlesbrough(St Mary's Centre) and Stockton (Heaven)

  • Support is about helping young people to help themselves.
  • Young people have potential, a lot to offer.
  • Young people have a voice and that their opinions should listened to and respected. Our organisation has grown in response to the seeds of ideas suggested by young people.

About our properties…..

  • Houses are furnished, some are shared and some self contained.
  • We do not provide 24 hour cover.
  • There's no need for a bond.
  • All shared properties have locked bedrooms.
  • Burglar and smoke alarms fitted.
  • We do not provide bedding, towels, pots, pans, cutlery, kettle, iron, microwave, TV, TV license, hi-fi, contents insurance.

Referral Criteria

  • Aged 16-25.
  • Homeless/In Housing need.
  • Support needs at an appropriate level.
  • Willing to engage with support.

How to make an application

  • Contact one of our offices for an application form and return it, or follow one of the links below.
  • You will be invited along to an interview to meet some of the supported housing staff and to talk about yourself and your application.
  • The Supported Housing Staff will look at all of the information available and make a decision about whether or not Community Campus '87 is a good option for you and you meet our criteria.
  • If yes, you will be contacted and the wheels will be set in motion to identify a suitable property, meet other tenants, attend our pre-tenancy course etc.
  • If no, you will be told of the reasons or the decision and offered some guidance around other housing options
  • Ok, if your interested, need somewhere to live and want to be a part of something......!!!
