When did Community Campus '87 begin? The group was formed in 1987 and formally registered in 1988. It developed as a response by a group of concerned individuals to the ever developing housing crisis particularly in Cleveland in the North East of England [please note since Local Government reorganisation in 1996 Cleveland no longer exists, the area is split into four unitary authorities - Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton and Hartlepool].
